Through his career, he has appeared in TV shows like The Unit (with Dennis Haysbert and Max Martini), Lie to Me (with James Frain and Spencer Garrett), and HELL. Upon returning to Los Angeles, Herz began professional training as an actor at the Margie Haber studio. When he grew up, he tried to follow his father's footsteps and lived in Germany for two years where he played soccer. During his childhood, Herz traveled frequently to Europe which made him learn both foreign languages fluently. His father was a professional soccer player from Germany, and his mother a hairstylist from Poland. Herz was born in Orange, California, but was raised in Los Angeles.
